How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible)
    About the School
ANZUK Education has partnered with a highly supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Grays area of Thurrock. This school is renowned for its dedicated SEND department and its commitment to ensuring every student, regardless of their starting point, has the opportunity to thrive. You will join a compassionate team that values patience, professional development, and the unique contributions of every staff member.
    The Role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide tailored support to students with additional needs. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in psychology, childcare, or those who have a genuine passion for supporting students with Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with the SENCO to ensure that students can access the curriculum and feel confident in their learning environment.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Support students on a 1:1 or small-group basis within the classroom to help them engage with lessons.
    * Adapt learning materials to suit the specific needs and abilities of the students you are supporting.
    * Foster a safe and encouraging atmosphere, helping to manage any challenging behaviours with a calm and patient approach.
    * Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to the Class Teacher and SENCO.
    * Promote independence and social skills, helping students build confidence both academically and socially.
    The Ideal Candidate Will:
    * Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (highly desirable).
    * Possess a patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
    * Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with students who may face barriers to learning.
    * Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or be willing to apply for one.
    * Be fully committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
    What We Offer:
    * Competitive daily rates with reliable weekly pay.
    * The chance to make a tangible difference in a leading secondary school in Thurrock.
    * Dedicated support from your consultant at ANZUK to find the right environment for your skills.
