How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently assisting a large healthcare organisation in the appointment of a senior Pharmacy professional for a period of 12 months. This person will form part of the senior operational and clinical leadership team for the organisation.

    You will support the Chief Pharmacist and other key clinical/operational professionals within the organisation in the delivery of Pharmacy Services, building on the momentum of existing excellence areas within the of department, but also taking a leading role in the development and improvement of challenging areas to ensure optimum patient care.

    As a registered Pharmacist you will be responsible for the services undertaken within the Pharmacy department engaging with key stakeholders, internally and externally with colleagues in the region, regulatory bodies and beyond.

    This person will play a key role in the development of strategic plans for the Pharmacy services, workforce requirements, medicines governance and regulatory compliance covering the next 3 + years, including the coordination of wider business planning for the Divisional operations ensuring alignment to the overall strategy for the organisation, where appropriate, while maintaining viability.

    You will have significant demonstrable experience in leading and working effectively in a multi-professional team environment. Hold extensive experience with regulatory standards required for pharmacy activities including GPhC registration, Home Office, CQC, MHRA and Regional QA.

    Education & Professional Qualifications:

    * Master's level degree qualification in Pharmacy, ideally formal management qualification;

    * Current GPhC Registration

    * Evidence of continuing professional development in line with seniority of this type of position;

    * Recent experience working at senior level, in a leadership position in a large healthcare organisation;

    * Ability to work within tight deadlines and budgets set;

    * Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
