How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

    Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

    The Project

    The SIXEP Continuity Plant (SCP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield, will ensure the site’s existing Site Ion Exchange Effluent Plant (SIXEP) facility can continue its vital work for decades to come.

    The newbuild SCP facility will play a vital part in Sellafield’s purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. Once operational SCP will ensure the nuclear site will have continued availability to treat and make safe the effluent created by risk reduction activities.

    The Role

    Due to continuing work SCP are now looking to recruit an EC&I PDMS Designer to join the team in Birchwood.

    As an EC&I PDMS Designer your responsibilities could include:

    *

    Design of installable CE&I cable route infrastructure / plant layouts that can be safely installed and subsequently populated with cables.

    *

    Producing and understanding a range of electrical deliverables such as control schematics, single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, cable schedules, lighting and small power circuits, earthing schemes etc.

    *

    Input into instrument hook-ups and loop diagrams

    *

    Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.

    *

    Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.

    *

    Checking of other designers’ deliverables

    As an EC&I PDMS Designer you will already be:

    *

    An experienced PDMS user, particularly in CE&I aspects including the production of automated drawings from the 3D model.

    *

    Have experience of CE&I design working within a highly regulated industry.

    *

    Be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards

    *

    PDMS, Navisworks Freedom Viewer, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
