We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join this outstanding team. Whether you're looking for day-to-day flexibility or a long-term role, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
Work alongside teachers and other professionals to implement individual learning and communication plans
Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and emotional regulation as needed
Encourage independence and positive behaviour through consistent routines and structure
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills are essential – both verbal and non-verbal
Experience working with SEND students or within a special school setting is desirable but not essential
A caring, patient, and resilient nature
Full-time availability (Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm)
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
