We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical / Process Engineer to join a specialist engineering business operating within thermal and process-based systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-value, technically challenging projects, focusing on the design and optimisation of industrial equipment.
The Role
*
Designing mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD (Autodesk / SolidWorks)
*
Supporting the development of thermal and combustion-based systems
*
Working on process optimisation, airflow and temperature performance
*
Carrying out CFD / thermal analysis where required
*
Collaborating with internal teams across engineering and production
*
Supporting testing, commissioning and problem-solving activities
Requirements
*
Background in Mechanical or Process Engineering
*
Experience within thermal systems, furnaces, heat treatment or combustion environments
*
Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics and airflow
*
Experience with 3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)
*
Exposure to CFD or thermal modelling
Desirable
*
Knowledge of industrial standards (e.g. EN 746 or similar)
*
Experience with gas systems, burners or ducting
*
Background within high-temperature or process industries
