How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Teaching Assistant - Shrewsbury - September Start

    We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Shrewsbury from September.

    This is a full-time, long-term position, offering a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across KS2 within a supportive and inclusive school environment.

    The Role:

    Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 2

    Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support learning

    Providing additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

    Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

    Requirements:

    A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable

    However, we will also consider candidates without formal qualifications who have significant, relevant classroom experience

    Experience supporting children with SEN is highly beneficial

    A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting learning

    This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in children's education and looking to secure a long-term opportunity within a supportive school.
