    Job description

    Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2025 – now 6 years in a row!
    To encourage and enable meaningful family involvement in Dimensions, we employ Associate Family Consultants. They help to translate and amplify the views and experiences of families in varying ways to ensure that decision making within Dimensions considers and respects what matters to families.
    Applicants who apply will have personal experience as a family member to a person with a learning disability or Autism.
    The three roles are offered on a zero-hours basis. Routine and ad-hoc work will be offered to you, enabling you to work when it suits and a maintain a good work–life balance.
    Interviews will take place via Microsoft teams on the 17th April.
    We are particularly encouraging of applications from people living in or near Somerset and Yorkshire, but we welcome all interest.
    About the role
    Your main duties will include:
    * Be a listening ear for families, signposting them to information or colleagues as needed
    * Contribute to our ways of checking the quality of people’s support and homes – either sharing your own perspective or gathering the views of families
    * Participate in interviews for new colleagues, bringing a family/carer viewpoint.
    * Represent families’ perspectives at meetings and events
    About you
    The successful applicant will:
    * Be able to promote the needs and aspirations of families while recognising the rights and autonomy of people with learning disabilities and Autism
    * Be confident in the use of basic Microsoft software - Outlook email, Word and PowerPoint
    * Be able to work sensitively in situations where people may feel emotional
    * Understand person-centered thinking and how people can work together to design and improve support
