We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious GIRS Gas Operative to join our team. Working under the direction of the Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring gas networks are installed safely, professionally, and to a high standard.

What You’ll be doing

* Working closely with the Team Leader day-to-day

* Supporting the Team Leader with the installation of gas networks on new build construction sites

* Assisting with laying, connecting, and testing gas infrastructure

* Helping to record details of the work carried out

* Making sure you and those around you stay safe at all times by following all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental guidelines

* Reporting any accidents or near misses

* Attending toolbox talks and following site instructions

* Keeping the site clean, safe, and organised

* Taking part in training when needed

The Person

* Registered with the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) – essential

* SHEA (Gas) & NC01 certifications – essential

* Full UK driving licence – essential

Desirable Skills

* Appropriate plant operator’s certification

* Previous experience working within a GIRS Utility Connection Provider environment
