How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you a Psychology or Criminology Graduate? Are you looking for a role where you can build your experience supporting neurodiverse children? Are you resilient and empathetic?

    A specialist school for children with Autism and complex needs is seeking a Psychology Graduate to join their team of incredible support staff. You will work as a Learning Support Assistant within the classroom, playing a key role in the social, emotional and academic development of every pupil.

    As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, complex needs, speech, language and communication needs, mental health difficulties and behaviour challenges. You will experience various cognitive behaviours and utilise engagement methods, such as restorative practices promoted by therapists and psychologists, to support the pupils. The school places a strong emphasis on emotional well being and social development, weaving these skills into every aspect of the curriculum.

    This is an excellent opportunity if you are a Psychology or Criminology graduate, keen to pursue a career in SEN Teaching, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Educational Psychology. You will gain relevant safeguarding training, and help support the schools fully-integrated therapy programme.

    The school are seeking a Graduate with a strong academic background (ideally a 2:2 degree or above), and a passion for helping vulnerable children. Previous experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults would be beneficial.
