How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    As our Product Design Engineer, reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will design, develop, and deliver new temperature-controlled packaging products from initial concept through to full-scale production.

    You will help to drive innovation by researching sustainable materials, creating prototypes, and collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing partners to bring creative concepts to life.

    Specifically, alongside designing and developing innovative temperature-controlled and sample transport packaging solutions from concept through production, you will produce detailed CAD models, technical drawings and product specifications for manufacturing.

    You will generate high-quality product visuals, renders, and presentation materials, and create Intelsius branded and customer-specific artworks in line with brand and regulatory guidelines.

    Researching and evaluating innovative andsustainable materials and technologies, you will collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimise designs for scalability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

    Additionally, you will:

    - Ensure designs meet all regulatory, safety, and sustainability requirements for pharmaceutical and sample transport packaging
    - Work closely with engineering, operations and quality teams to troubleshoot design or production challenges
    - Develop and test prototypes to assess design, usability, thermal performance, and regulatory compliance
    - Offer technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers when required
    - Prepare and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and related documentation
    - Review and approve components, packaging artwork, and other technical deliverables

    About You

    To be considered as a Product Design Engineer, you will need:

    - Experience with prototyping techniques (3D printing, laser cutting, vacuum forming, etc.)
    - A portfolio demonstrating product design and development experience (preferably in packaging, medical, or industrial products)
    - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
    - An understanding of materials selection, particularly sustainable alternatives
    - Proficiency in vector graphic design software, such as Adobe Illustrator (or similar)
    - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn ideas into practical, manufacturable solutions
    - Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills
    - A bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or a related field
    - A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to our location)
