How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage operations within the FMCG industry. Based in Central Belt Scotland, this role requires expertise in Engineering & Manufacturing to ensure the efficient running of site activities.

    Description

    Lead and manage site operations to achieve optimal performance and productivity circa 50 heads.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    Oversee maintenance and engineering activities to minimise downtime.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively.
    Provide leadership and guidance to the site team, fostering a strong work ethic.
    Ensure customer requirements are met through effective operational planning.
    Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Profile

    A successful Operations Manager should have:

    Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
    Looking for someone that has already operated at Site Operations Lead or GM with a proven track record who can work autonomously
    Strong knowledge of Engineering & Manufacturing processes.
    Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    Ability to manage budgets and meet operational targets.
    Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    Job Offer
