How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Care Home Peripatetic Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead (RN)
    Hours: 40 hours per week
    Salary: £55,000 plus fuel allowance

    Location: Covering Nursing Homes Cardiff, Newport and Caerphilly

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Care Home Peripatetic Deputy Manager (Clinical), you’ll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high-quality care and service we’re known for. Working closely with the Registered Manager and Regional Manager, you’ll help implement action plans that make sure all resident’s needs are met.

    Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the Deputy and Registered Manager, you will help with everything from care standards to motivating the care and clinical team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to make sure they help every resident to enjoy the best possible quality of life. That means leading by example by monitoring standards through regular audits, supervising clinical practice and setting the highest standards and drawing on your skills to develop and deliver strategies that will help you achieve your goals.

    We are looking for a Peripatetic Deputy Manager (Clinical), you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience working within a nursing home setting is essential and evidence of continual professional development is also required. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We’ll also look for a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You’ll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.

    You will be working across 4 Nursing Homes in the Newport, Cardiff and Caerphilly area supporting the registered and deputy managers as required and also supporting the homes / teams in the absence of the managers. As the organisation is developing there will be opportunities to develop into a Registered Manager or become the Clinical Manager in one of the new services.
