We are looking for someone with the relevant experience in the following:
* Programming, setting, and operating a range of CNC machines (in particular Doosan VMC)
* Accurately setting machines right first time
* Carrying out self - inspection of work to ensure quality
* Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Suggesting and implementing improvements to existing machining techniques
* Maintaining alignment with company core values
* Supporting and mentoring apprentices
* Carrying out any other tasks in line with your skills and experience as needed
Skills:
* Experience working with Siemens or Fanuc controls (Doosan VMC).
* Be able to read from drawings and responsible for the quality of your own work.
* Knowledge of offline programming with Edgecam preferred.
* Experience of working with a variety of materials (including plastics & aluminium & S/S).
Working hours:
Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30
Friday 08:00 – 15:30
Salary: £20 per hour
