How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Support Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Dayshift | Grangemouth | Global Manufacturing Business

Working hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday

    Salary: £51,798 per annum

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be continuing our partnership with BioMar, as they look to appoint an electrically biased Site Engineer to join their team.

BioMar are a global leader within the aquaculture industry, recognised for their innovation, sustainability and high-performance feed solutions. Their site offers a complex, fast paced manufacturing environment where engineering plays a critical role in maintaining performance and driving improvement.

As a Site Support Engineer you will work closely alongside the Engineering Manager and support both plant equipment and site facilities with a focus on safe operations, reliable production & continuous improvement whilst strengthening the performance of their engineering operations and keeping the site running efficiently.

This really is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to step into a role with real autonomy, variety and long-term development within a global business. You’ll be given the opportunity to take ownership, develop your skillset and play a key role in improving a complex manufacturing site - not just maintain it.

If you’re already operating in a demanding engineering environment and are looking to step into a role with greater autonomy, influence and long-term development - this is well worth a conversation.

    The Opportunity

This opportunity is for someone who:

    takes ownership

    works on their own initiative

gets to the root cause of problems

and wants to continuously improve how things are done

You’ll be joining a small, experienced and easy going team, where personality, confidence and independence are just as important as technical ability.

    What You’ll Be Doing

A genuinely varied, hands on role where no two days are the same:

Planned & preventative maintenance across plant and electrical systems

Reactive maintenance, fault finding and root cause analysis

Working across a wide range of equipment – from circuit boards and control systems through to large scale process plant

Supporting stores, inventory and asset management

Coordinating contractors and supporting site projects

    Facilities maintenance and site upgrades

    Supporting and improving CMMS systems

Driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the site

    What Biomar are looking for:

Time-served Electrical Engineer with some multiskilled capability

Strong fault finding and problem-solving ability

Experience within process, manufacturing, FMCG or similar environments but other industries will be considered

Confidence to work independently and manage your own workload

Someone who can communicate well across the site and build relationships

A proactive mindset – not just fixing problems, but improving them

    What’s On Offer

Dayshift role (with overtime & unsociable hours payments)

Strong opportunities for training, development and qualifications

The chance to grow within a global, well established business

A role where you can genuinely make an impact and be recognised for it

    Salary & benefits:

    Salary: £51,798 per annum

Generous pension scheme with 12% employer contribution

Life assurance covering up to 8x salary

Private health care and cash plan

Salary sacrifice schemes for electric vehicles, cycle to work, and tech scheme

    Enhanced parental leave

Annual employee event and employee engagement initiatives

33 days per year holiday entitlement

    Employee discount platform

    Interested?

If you’re an electrically biased engineer looking for a role where you can take ownership, develop and progress then we’d love to speak with you…
