How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

My client is a contractor looking to strengthen their delivery team for the remainder of the AMP8 funding cycle, working on a major framework on behalf of Southern Water.
The successful Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure the successful on-site delivery of complex non-infrastructure projects within the water sector.
These projects form part of a major clean water scheme, overseeing multiple work packages aimed at improving the quality and reliability of water distribution across the North Kent region.

·A basic understanding of reading and interpreting designs
·Experience in packaging works and coordinating with procurement, design teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors

    Responsibilities
·Outline engineering from project inception through to completion, utilising in-house resources and site teams
·Deliver multiple concurrent projects safely, on time, and within budget
·Liaise with client engineering and operations teams to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded
·Attend internal and external progress and review meetings
    ·Conduct site visits and meetings
·Establish preliminary and detailed design requirements and solutions
    ·Prepare estimates and quotations
    ·Complete contract documentation
·Manage site safety, health, and environmental requirements
·Coordinate with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, and internal teams
·Procure plant, materials, and specialist subcontractors

·Compile final documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals
·Take responsibility for project profit and loss
    ·Manage variations and final accounts

    Package
    The successful candidate will receive:
·Company car or car allowance (up to £5,600 per annum)
·Matched pension contributions up to 10%
·25 days annual leave + bank holidays
    ·Private healthcare / medical insurance
