How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Hybrid, Birmingham, 3 days office / 2 days home

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a leading global organisation for a Technician to join their Client Support Services team, working specifically within the Binders function. This hybrid role offers a balance of office collaboration and home working, with excellent prospects for professional growth.

We welcome applicants with Binder or Facility experience, but we are equally interested in candidates from other technical Claims or Insurance backgrounds who can demonstrate strong analytical ability and confident Excel skills. We also encourage applications from numerically minded individuals looking to begin a career in Reinsurance.

    What you can expect

    * Work alongside experienced professionals across multiple UK locations.

    * Gain hands‑on exposure to technical operations within a major broking environment.

    * Take ownership of a client portfolio with full end‑to‑end responsibility.

    * Join a global business committed to innovation, risk management and professional development.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage an assigned client portfolio, overseeing all technical duties relating to accounts, premiums and claims.

    * Collaborate with Market Fiduciary teams to support the collection of funds.

    * Oversee brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e‑trading, post‑booking receipts, reporting requests and payment processes.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.

    * Participate in training and contribute to process improvements within Binder and Facility service delivery.

    What you need to have

    * Experience in a technical insurance role with strong numerical capability.

    * Confident Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office.

    * A proactive approach to learning and development.

    * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

    What makes you stand out

    * Technical experience within a broking environment.

    * Familiarity with London Market systems such as CLASS/ECF and IMR.

    * Experience in Delegated Authority (Binders, Lineslips, Consortia).

    * Working knowledge of Bordereaux, particularly Lloyd’s V5.

    * Exposure to Reinsurance linked to Binders and Facilities.

    * General claims handling experience.

    Why join this team

    * A supportive environment that encourages you to be your best.

    * Access to professional development, mentoring and industry specialists.

    * A collaborative culture where diverse perspectives drive innovation.

    * Opportunities for long‑term career progression within a global organisation.

    * A comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing.

If you’re looking to develop your technical expertise and build a rewarding career, this role offers the perfect platform to grow
