    Water Quality Lead

    Walsall

    £48k - £52k plus 25 days holiday

Step into a role where your expertise really matters. If you’ve built solid experience in UK water quality and regulations and are ready for more ownership, this is a great next step.

You’ll play a key role in protecting public health, working closely with operational teams and applying your knowledge in a practical, supportive environment. The current post holder has just been promoted, so this is a genuine opportunity to grow into a broader role.

    What you’ll be doing

Supporting compliance with Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations & DWI standards

Working with operational teams to manage risk and maintain high standards

Contributing to monitoring and sampling programmes

Helping investigate water quality incidents and issues

Ensuring QA/QC processes and best practice are followed

Using data to support continuous improvement

    What we’re looking for

Experience in UK drinking water / water quality

Good understanding of water regulations and compliance

Background in water utilities or a similar environment

Familiarity with sampling, monitoring, or QA/QC processes

A calm, thoughtful approach to problem-solving

    Why this role?

A supportive step-up opportunity - no prior management required

Chance to build on your technical expertise with real responsibility

Work that has a direct impact on customers and communities

If you’re not sure you tick every box, please get in touch, we encourage conversation
