How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Electrical Project Manager - Heavy Industrial New‑Build (North Wales)
    Type: Permanent
    Location: North Wales (site‑based)
    The opportunity
Join a long‑term, complex new‑build programme in North Wales and lead the electrical installation package end‑to‑end. You’ll own HSE, quality, commercial and project‑controls delivery; planning pre‑mobilisation, validating budgets, deploying labour and subcontractors, and driving schedule performance in a safety‑critical, heavy‑industrial environment.
    What you’ll be doing
    * Pre‑mobilisation: prepare HSE Plan, Quality Plan, RAMS and ITPs; set up reporting structures and progress measurement.
    * Programme & delivery: build and maintain an electrical package programme fully coordinated with overall milestones; identify workfronts; remove blockers to meet dates.
    * Commercial & controls: validate budgets; track man‑hours vs norms, installed quantities and earned progress; produce monthly applications; manage cost/WIP and change.
    * Change management: submit Early Warnings and Variations for scope growth; keep the client informed with clear cause‑and‑effect analysis.
    * Procurement & subcontractors: lead tender evaluation/selection, place and administer subcontracts, forecast and manage performance through to close‑out.
    * Quality & inspections: oversee installation quality, witness tests, maintain evidence packs and handover documentation to the client’s standards.
    * HSEQ leadership: manage project health & safety with the HSE Manager; ensure methods of work are current, efficient and compliant with company/client policies.
    * Interfaces & reporting: chair internal weekly meetings; attend client progress meetings; issue daily/weekly/monthly reports (HSE / Procurement / Project Controls / Commercial / Quality / Engineering / Construction).
    * People & organisation: set a clear structure, delegate effectively, and mentor junior/intermediate staff.
    What you’ll need
    * 10+ years’ construction experience with 5+ years in a leadership role (or degree‑qualified engineer with 10+ years’ project experience).
    * Strong background in electrical installation for large industrial builds; experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation or heavy industrial is preferred.
    * Solid contractual knowledge (e.g., NEC / FIDIC) and confident client correspondence.
    * Proven project‑controls competence: estimating, scheduling, progress measurement, cost control, change management, monthly applications.
    * Strong construction safety knowledge and track record.
    * SMSTS (or equivalent) and relevant electrical qualifications; First Aid/IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.
    * Proficient with Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project, Excel, and standard reporting tools.
    * Full UK driving licence and ability to commute/lodge as needed
