How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Head of FP&A

    Overview

    ENRA is a rapidly growing and highly profitable specialist property finance group. The Group is expected to achieve record EBITDA of circa £63m in 2025, with AUM of £3.1bn spread across 6 diversified lending products, as well as a market-leading broking division. The Group is led by an experienced and entrepreneurial expective team and supported by one of the largest fund managers as a key investor.

    Having completed a major corporate transaction in 2022, the Group is now mid way through its next 5-year plan, aiming to grow AUM to >£8bn and EBITDA to £140m. In line with these plans, the Finance Dept is also executing a strategic and digital transformation programme, to right size its capabilities for the planned growth. A central objective of this strategy has been to enhance the existing FP&A capability.

    The finance team of 21 is currently organized on a product basis with dedicated teams responsible for short-term lending, term lending, commercial lending, broking, group functions and FP&A.

    The incumbent Head of FP&A is due to return to Australia in September and we are looking to hire their replacement. The role will report to the FD, with significant exposure to the Senior Exec. They will initially have one direct report and be tasked with continuing to mature the FP&A capability to increase the value and commerciality of insights provided to management across the business and to drive forward-looking business decision making. The role will also be heavily involved in the various digital transformation projects across Finance.

    This role will likely suite a capable and dynamic FP&A Manager looking to step-up and make their mark. Strong modelling and finance infrastructure building capabilities are essential, as the FP&A capability is still maturing.

    Key Accountabilities

    * Build-out and improve the group’s strategic financial planning and budgeting, forecasting, analytics and reporting processes.

    * Take the lead on analysis and reporting on financial and non-financial metrics and KPIs across the business.

    * Create and take ownership of complex financial models

    * Become a trusted business partner to business MDs and help develop Finance team Product Heads into that role.

    * Support the FD in digital transformation projects to embed greater use of data analytics and automation across the Finance Department.

    * Provide financial support on strategic projects and decision making

    Skills & Competencies

    * Experience of FP&A best practices, across financial modelling, trend analysis, data combination and reporting.

    * Ideally gained working in a bank or specialist lending business, with an understanding of key lending dynamics and metrics. Experience of securitization would be an advantage but not essential.

    * Analytical and hands-on by nature, happy building complex models from scratch but with an emphasis on automating where possible.

    * Experience of NetSuite, Alteryx and Power BI would be an advantage.

    * Keen to make their mark by building a highly visible capability at an ambitious firm.

    * High quality verbal and written communication skills.

    Knowledge & Qualifications

    * Qualified accountant.

    * Highly proficient with business intelligence and data visualisation tools to manipulate large data sets.

    * Strong technological literacy and modelling skills.

    Personal Attributes

    * Highly numerate and articulate.

    * Driven and enjoys building and developing teams.

    * Robust and comfortable working to deadline and under pressure.

    * Persuasive.

    * Flexible, calm and self-assured.
