TeacherActive is proud to partner with a highly regarded Primary School in the Treorchy area. The school is renowned for its inclusive culture and commitment to high standards, where every learner is encouraged to thrive. We have a strong, ongoing relationship with the school and are currently seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis due to a new vacancy.
This role involves working one-to-one with a pupil, offering both emotional and academic support as needed. The school values a patient and calm approach to help maximise the pupil’s educational experience.
The successful candidate will start after the Easter holidays (April 2026) and continue until the end of the summer term. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30.
Key Requirements
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least six months’ experience working with children in an educational setting
Proven experience providing one-to-one support to pupils – essential
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
