The Primary school aim to provide each child with an abundance of satisfaction whilst creating a welcoming, happy and exciting environment for all. The school knows that when this can be achieved, each child can develop according to their individual needs and ability. The Primary monitor pupil’s progress from the first day in the school and the teachers will discuss any problems with the parents as soon as possible so they can work together with parents to support the child.
The Primary School are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant from April on a full time basis to support in their Foundation Phase. The successful candidate will need to be proactive and be passionate about working with children, fully submerging yourself in the role, creating valued relationships with each child. You will need to be able to work with children that have mild additional learning needs including ASD and challenging behaviour so ideally having experience working with these characteristics previously would be beneficial for the role but is not a requirement.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
A Teaching Assistant/Childcare qualification OR at least 6 months experience working with children
Fluent verbal and written Welsh
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Ability to build valued and trusted relationships with students
A can-do, positive attitude and approach to their work
Patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations
