SHEQ Manager

1st Step Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organisation within the Building Services sector, for an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and maintain the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems.

SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality)
Location: West Midlands Base + UK Travel
Salary: Circa £42k to £50k package

This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards and industry best practice, while promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across the business.

The Role

Maintain and continuously improve the Health & Safety Management System
Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Carry out site inspections and SHEQ audits across operational projects
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
Prepare SHEQ performance reports for senior leadership
Deliver health & safety training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions
Maintain ISO accreditation documentation (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, Safe Contractor, CHAS)
Monitor environmental performance, waste management and sustainability initiatives
Support the corporate risk register and internal audit cycle

Requirements

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
Experience managing ISO management systems and compliance processes
Proven experience conducting site audits, inspections and incident investigations
Excellent reporting, organisation and communication skillsWhat's on Offer
