Technical Project Manager - Audio Visual (AV) Collaboration Systems)

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of Audio Visual (AV) collaboration projects across corporate, education, and event environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical understanding of AV systems with the ability to manage complex projects, engage confidently with clients, and drive high‑quality outcomes from concept to completion.

    What you'll be responsible for

    AV Project Planning & Delivery

Lead the full lifecycle of AV projects, including planning, procurement, installation, integration, and commissioning.

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

    Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage expectations, provide clear communication, and ensure all AV deliverables meet or exceed client specifications.

    Budget & Resource Control

Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control across all phases.

    Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead multidisciplinary teams including AV designers, engineers, programmers, and subcontractors.

Foster strong communication and collaboration to ensure seamless execution and technical excellence.

    Timeline & Milestone Management

Build and maintain detailed project schedules, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to keep delivery on track.

    Documentation & Reporting

Maintain comprehensive project documentation including technical drawings, change orders, commissioning reports, and client handover packs.

Provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.

    Compliance, Quality & Safety

Ensure all AV installations comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., BS EN, AVIXA), safety protocols, and legal requirements.

Champion best practices in AV system integration and health & safety.

    What you'll bring

Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification (advantageous).

IOSH Managing Safely certification (advantageous; training can be provided).

Proven experience delivering AV projects with a strong track record of successful outcomes.

Solid technical knowledge of AV systems including video conferencing, control systems, digital signage, and audio distribution.

Familiarity with current AV technologies, manufacturers, and industry trends.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and client‑facing skills, able to engage confidently with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Experience working with AV industry partners, manufacturers, and integrators.

Competency with Microsoft tools including Excel, Teams, Word, Outlook, and proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Beneficial accreditations such as Extron, Biamp, Q‑Sys, Netgear, Poly, or similar.

    Why this role matters

You'll play a key role in delivering high‑impact AV environments that enable seamless collaboration and exceptional user experiences. Your leadership will ensure every project is delivered with technical precision, operational excellence, and outstanding client satisfaction
