How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Systems Analyst / Business Analyst (Projects & Change)

Location: Braintree – Onsite, optional 1 day working from home (please do not apply if you are not able to travel daily to Braintree, Essex)
    Type: Full-time, Permanent

Following continued growth, our client is expanding their Systems function and is looking to appoint a Systems Analyst to support business-wide projects, system improvements, and operational change.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analyst or project-focused professional who enjoys working across the full lifecycle – from identifying needs and shaping solutions through to delivery, implementation, and embedding change.

This role is less about specific systems experience and more about how you think, solve problems, and take ownership of outcomes.

    The Role

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll take ownership of a wide range of initiatives – from smaller improvements to larger transformation and integration projects.

From concept and scoping through to go-live and rollout, you’ll play a key role in understanding business needs, defining solutions, and ensuring successful delivery and adoption.

You’ll work closely with internal systems, infrastructure, and application support teams, as well as external partners, to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and effectively delivered.

This is a highly varied, hands-on role with real ownership, where you’ll be expected to take accountability for both the systems and the outcomes they deliver.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, scope requirements, and define solutions

    *

Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation

    *

Take ownership of initiatives from concept through to delivery, go-live, and post-implementation support

    *

Support end-to-end project delivery, including planning, coordination, and rollout

    *

Work closely with internal systems teams and 3rd party providers

    *

Lead and coordinate testing activities, including functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and integration testing

    *

Ensure successful implementation through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement

    *

Conduct post-release checks and reviews to ensure solutions are fully embedded and operational

    *

Manage and prioritise multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment

    About You

We’re looking for a naturally curious, solutions-focused individual who enjoys taking ownership and seeing things through to completion.

You’ll be someone who doesn’t just support change – but drives it and owns the outcome.

You may come from a background such as:

    Business Analyst

    Systems Analyst

    Project Analyst / Project Manager

    Operations or Process Improvement role

    You’ll bring

3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a medium to large commercial organisation

    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience delivering projects or business improvements end-to-end

Experience in business process mapping, process improvement, and SOP development

Experience across the full testing lifecycle (functional, UAT, integration)

Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and build strong, credible relationships

A proactive, self-motivated approach with a focus on delivery and outcomes

Confidence managing both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to translate ideas into clear, actionable plans

Comfortable working with data to support decision-making and reporting (e.g. Excel, Power BI, or querying data from systems/databases – SQL knowledge beneficial but not essential)

    Desirable (Not Essential)

Experience working with ERP or business systems

Exposure to warehouse, logistics, or eCommerce environments

Experience working with 3rd party suppliers or system providers

    Why Apply?

A role with genuine ownership and autonomy – not just delivery, but accountability

Opportunity to work on meaningful, business-critical projects

Varied work across systems, operations, and change initiatives

A collaborative environment working closely with systems and technical teams

The chance to make a visible impact on business performance

    Please Note

We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in analysis, projects, or business improvement. Applications without this background are unlikely to be considered.
