How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant with SEND experience to join a friendly two form entry primary school in Gravesend. This is a varied role where you will “float” across different year groups, providing targeted support to pupils with additional needs while also assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.

    About the Role and Key Responsibilities

    As a SEND Teaching Assistant working with TailorEDucation, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons or learning activities, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring pupils are inspired to achieve their best.     The Ideal Candidate Experience

    The ideal candidate will have:

    A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Early Years Education

    Experience supporting children and young people on a 1:1 and group basis

    A nurturing and proactive approach to supporting learning and development

    Strong communication and teamwork skills with teachers and other staff

    An understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles

    Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
