How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Unify are thrilled to share this new opportunity for a Hire Desk Controller join a well-established provider of nationwide rehire services and powered access equipment. This company is experiencing rapid growth and is supported by an experienced, dedicated team with decades of combined industry expertise, all committed to delivering exceptional service to their customers.

    As a Hire Controller, you will work as part of the rehire team, supporting daily customer requirements. This includes converting enquiries into hires, managing live hire agreements, and ensuring customers receive a professional and efficient service at every stage of the process.

    What Do I need?

    * Previous experience in a similar role within the hire industry.

    * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to develop strong professional relationships.

    * Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, with a polished phone manner.

    * Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure.

    * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing hire transactions

    * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Turning hire enquiries into confirmed bookings efficiently.

    * Overseeing active hires, including handling returns and daily customer requests.

    * Utilizing internal systems to check equipment availability and accurately process hire orders.

    * Ensuring all hire transactions are processed correctly to prevent errors and potential adjustments.

    * Maintaining professional communication with both clients and colleagues via email and phone.

    * Addressing customer queries politely and professionally.

    * Building and maintaining strong working relationships internally and externally.

    * Delivering exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.

    Work Pattern:

    Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:30pm, No Weekends
