How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Architectural Technician, Birmingham, £30k - £40k depending on experience

    A well-established architectural practice with a strong workload in the industrial and infrastructure led sectors is seeking a mid-level Architectural Technician to join its technical team. The practice offers long term stability, a supportive working environment, and the opportunity to work on complex, high value projects that provide genuine technical depth and responsibility.

    The role will focus on the technical delivery of projects, working closely with architects, consultants and external stakeholders through the later design stages.

    Role & responsibilities:

    Producing detailed technical drawing packages and construction information
    Coordinating technical information with consultants and specialist subcontractors
    Ensuring designs comply with current UK Building Regulations
    Supporting projects through technical design, tender and construction stages
    Responding to technical queries and design changes during delivery
    Assisting with maintaining drawing standards and project documentation
     Key requirements:

    Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
    Solid experience producing technical drawing packages
    Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
    Experience within industrial, logistics or data centre sectors is desirable but not essential
    Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
    Able to manage workload and collaborate effectively within a project team
