TeacherActive is currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to support welcoming and supportive primary schools across the Exmouth area. These roles are offered on a flexible supply / ad-hoc basis, making them ideal for individuals looking to gain experience across different schools while also having the opportunity to secure longer-term positions in the future.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working with children or young people who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping them thrive in the classroom.
The Role:
Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
Working with pupils one-to-one or in small groups to support learning
Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour
Working Pattern:
Flexible supply / ad-hoc work depending on school requirements
Opportunities for longer-term and full-time roles for the right candidates
Work available across a variety of local primary schools
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Prior experience working with children or young people (essential)
A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
