With a strong pipeline of National Highways work and a reputation for delivering high-quality schemes safely and efficiently, they are now looking to strengthen their team by appointing a Site Engineer - Highways to support projects in the Penrith area.
The role and responsibilities
In this Site Engineer - Highways position, you will support the delivery of highways construction works and assist the wider engineering team with site coordination and technical support.
You will be doing the following:
·Carrying out setting out for highways construction works
·Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
·Supporting the site team with daily engineering activities
·Checking and reviewing technical drawings and documentation
·Maintaining accurate site records and quality documentation
·Assisting with the coordination of subcontractors and site teams
·Monitoring progress and helping ensure works remain on programme
·Supporting health, safety and quality standards on site
Must have skills and experience
To be successful in this Site Engineer - Highways role, you will ideally have:
·Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within highways or civil engineering
·Experience working on National Highways or major highways infrastructure projects
·Knowledge of highways construction methods and standards
·Experience with setting out and surveying equipment
·Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
·Strong communication and organisational skills
·A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
·CSCS card (or equivalent)
