How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Support recruitment, training and succession planning within the finance function.

    Financial Integrity & Reporting

Oversee preparation and delivery of high‑quality monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the Group.

Drive financial accuracy, completeness and robustness across all operating entities, engaging with finance across business units.

Ensure timely and accurate group consolidation, eliminating intercompany balances and aligning accounting treatments across subsidiaries.

Present financial insights, risks and opportunities to the Group Finance Director and senior leadership.

    Month-End Close & Consolidation

Lead and manage the end‑to‑end month‑end close process, ensuring efficient timetables and strong coordination across all finance teams.

Implement best‑practice consolidation processes and continuously improve reporting timeliness and quality.

Maintain and enhance the Group consolidation system.

    Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

Own the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all legal entities and timely submission to Companies House.

Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.

Serve as the technical accounting lead, advising on treatment of complex transactions and changes in accounting standards.

    Internal Controls & Risk Management

Design, implement and maintain a robust financial control framework across the Group.

Monitor compliance with internal policies, audit standards and risk management processes.

Lead initiatives to strengthen controls, reduce financial risk and improve procedural consistency across business units.

    External Audit & Assurance

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

Manage the annual audit timetable, ensuring smooth coordination across all entities.

Resolve audit queries and drive improvements identified through the external audit process.

    Strategic Support & Business Partnership

Work closely with the Group Finance Director on key strategic initiatives, including M&A integration, system enhancements and process transformation.

Support strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Provide data‑driven insights to support decision‑making at Group level.
