Sewing Machinist

Our client requires an experienced Sewing Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Selby. This role involves producing felt liners used within the manufacturing process, working as part of a small, friendly production team. We are open to someone who wants the role and can accommodate either 15 – 20 hours per week or full time if needed.

This is a great opportunity for someone with sewing machine experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work in a busy manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Sewing felt liners for use in the manufacturing side of the business

* Operating industrial sewing machines to produce quality products

* Working from simple instructions and ensuring consistent standards

* Checking finished items for quality and accuracy

* Maintaining a tidy and safe work area

Ideal Candidate

* Experience as a Sewing Machinist or in a similar role

* Ability to use overlock and flat bed sewing machines (preferred)

* Good attention to detail and quality

* Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team

* Experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous
