Care / Family Solicitor

A well-established law firm in Birkenhead are seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join its established Care and Family department following a team restructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with strong experience in public children work who is looking to develop their practice within a supportive and well-resourced team.

The successful candidate must hold Children Panel membership and will ideally have an existing Guardian following. The role will involve handling a caseload of care matters representing children, with the expectation that the successful applicant will bring these instructions into the department. You will be supported by a dedicated paralegal, alongside in-house IT and costs support, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality client work.

This position offers the chance to play a key role in growing the children work offering within an already established family team, making it a strong opportunity for someone looking to build and develop their practice.

Key Requirements

Children Panel membership (essential)
Experience representing children in care proceedings
Ideally an established Guardian following
Ability to manage and grow a caseload of care matters
