Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative products within a highly regulated industry. This role covers the full product lifecycle—from concept through to high-volume manufacturing—while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal processes. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining design documentation and usability engineering files for new product developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead product design and development projects from initial concept to market release.

Coordinate design transfer activities between UK operations and manufacturing partners.

Provide engineering input for change orders and maintain legacy design documentation.

Conduct verification and validation of components and assemblies, including inspection and testing.

Record all formal and relevant informal engineering data within the product lifecycle management system.

Create and modify technical drawings in line with design standards.

Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in Product Design or Engineering.

Experience in a design-related role or manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Edge or SolidWorks).

Knowledge of plastics and injection moulding design.

Strong problem-solving ability and creative application of engineering principles.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

High attention to detail and organizational skills
