    Job description

    New Opportunity - Electronics Technician

    Our client in Heanor is looking for a motivated and experienced Electronics Technician to join their growing team. In this role you will be based in the workshop, diagnosing and repairing nonstandard faults.

    Candidates with previous electronics fault-finding experience to component level and experience in wiring diagrams, would be a great fit for this role.
     
    As the new Electronics Technician, you will:

    Follow wiring diagrams and pin data to power up ECUs on the bench and test specific circuits and functions.
    Analyse ECUs (electronic control units) and their PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) to discover the cause of electronic faults and to enact repairs where possible.
    Create technical documentation
    Close looping of information into SOP and training of technicians  
    Requirements for this role:
    Essential Skills and Experience

    Previous Electronics Technician experience
    Experience in electronic fault finding to component level and PCB rework methods.
    Experience in electronic schematic/wiring diagram drawings. Desirable skills and experience

    Well organised with a methodical approach to problem solving.
    Team player with excellent attention to detail.
    Knowledge and experience of automotive operations, electronics, and communication protocols.  
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.

    About this role

    Salary for this role is between £29,000 - £34,000 (depending on skills and experience)
    Hours are 6:30am - 3pmm Monday to Friday
    This is a full-time permanent role
