We are really happy to be working with a primary school in the Derby area that are looking to take on a passionate teaching assistant on a full time, long term placement with possibility to run up until the end of the school academic year. This would have potential to go to a permanent placement. The school focus’s on it’s core values of respect, resilience and kindness.
As a teaching assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the teacher and helping students thrive. You’ll assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons, provide one to one support and contribute to creating a fun and safe learning space. You will build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues and have excellent communication skills.
The successful teaching assistant will have:
Either a level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
A positive and proactive attitude
Experience working in a primary school in either KS1 or KS2
A genuine passion for working with children
