How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Engineer for Power Transformer/Shunt Reactor
    Location : South London
    Work Pattern : Full-time Permanent
    Salary : Competitive
    We wish to employ a Project Engineer for developing solutions, monitoring the quality compliance, and innovation of the engineering in our products.
    Responsibilities
    * Lead technical communications and discussions with customers across the entire business value chain, using your technical skills for tendering, sales, project execution, and after-sales services.
    * Provide technical support to our sales and project management departments during tender and quotation processes in order to secure orders.
    * Review and analyze customer technical specifications and coordinate with the factory to prepare technical documentations and drawings according to customer specifications, as well as international and local standards.
    * Review technical documentation, such as Design Review documents, mechanical drawings, schematic drawings, and test reports.
    * Consult with the factory to ensure that technical documentation aligns with customer requirements and recommend any necessary revisions.
    * Ensure that results and deliverables are delivered to customers on time.
    * Participate in the investigation of technical issues on-site and contribute to the establishment of procedures and corrective actions.
    * Complete tasks assigned by your leader in a timely manner.
    * Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and technical standards
    Profile
    * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
    * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in power transformer engineering, electrical equipment engineering, or power systems.
    * Additional experience with other products such as Shunt Reactors and Special Transformers is desirable.
    * Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of design.
    * Familiarity with high voltage transformer principles and manufacturing knowledge, as well as relevant technical and manufacturing standards, design and manufacturing processes, equipment and facility status, and installation procedures.
    * Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and process problems.
    * Ability to work independently to complete assignments in a timely manner.
    * Proficient with Microsoft Office and associated tools.
    * Willingness to travel as needed.
    * Strong team player with the ability to work in a worldwide, multicultural technical team.
    * Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
