About the Role
The client is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of RC frame, groundworks, and slipform construction works on major projects in and around Sheffield. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating engineering activities, ensuring technical accuracy, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing and coordinating site engineering activities for RC frame, groundworks, and slipform operations
• Setting out and overseeing the technical aspects of construction works
• Reviewing drawings and resolving technical queries with design teams
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and standards
• Supervising and mentoring site engineers and junior staff
• Managing QA procedures, inspections, and site documentation
• Liaising with project managers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders
• Supporting programme delivery and ensuring works progress in line with the construction schedule
About the Requirements
• Previous experience working as a Senior Engineer or Site Engineer within RC frame and groundworks construction
• Strong knowledge and experience of slipform construction techniques
• Proven experience delivering structural concrete packages on large projects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
• Valid CSCS card and relevant site certifications (preferred)

£200.00 - £300.00 per day
