How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join Our Team as a Level 3 Vehicle Technician!

    Salary: £22.00 per hour (£48,048 per annum) | Permanent Role | Average 42 hrs/week | Mon–Fri, Working hours between 7.30am-4.30pm
    RMS Recruitment is thrilled to be partnering with a client in the automotive industry, renowned for excellence in vehicle storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch, and transportation. We’re now looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated workshop team, helping us maintain exceptional service standards.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    Working under the direction of the Workshop Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

    Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to manufacturer standards
    Performing routine servicing on a variety of vehicle models, including light commercial vehicles
    Stripping down, checking, and replacing faulty parts and assemblies
    Testing, reassembling, and adjusting mechanical and electrical systems
    Keeping workshop tools and equipment clean, organised, and well-maintained
    Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
    Participating in training and skill-enhancement workshops
    Supporting other workshop duties as required
    Please note: This is a hands-on role in an outdoor automotive compound. You’ll be working in all weather conditions with PPE provided, and walking moderate distances throughout the day while moving vehicles.

    What We’re Looking For:

    L3 Qualification (or equivalent) in light vehicle maintenance and repair – essentiaL
    Over 22 years old, with a full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points, no DR10s) – required for insurance purposes
    Strong work ethic with a proactive and flexible attitude
    Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices, and willingness to comply with procedures
