Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
Produce detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation
Support prototyping, testing, and product development activities
Collaborate with manufacturing, electrical, and project engineering teams
Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions 

Mechanical Design Engineer

Required Skills & Experience:

Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, machinery, or product development
Proven experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Strong experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar)
Experience producing manufacturing drawings and BOMs
Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
