    Job description

    Inclusion and Learner Support Lead
    Location: Newcastle-Upon-Tyne

Have you ever felt that your experience in learner support and inclusion could make a wider impact across an organisation and help shape how support is delivered to every learner?

This is your opportunity to do exactly that.

At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Inclusion and Learner Support Lead to join their expanding team based in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with travel across the region and occasional visits to other learner locations when required.

This is a full-time permanent position focused on leading inclusive practice and ensuring that every learner receives the support they need to succeed. This is a non-teaching and non-delivery role that focuses on strategy, coordination, quality assurance, and leadership of learner support across the organisation.

You will play a key role in shaping inclusive practice, supporting delivery teams, and ensuring learners with additional needs receive high quality support throughout their apprenticeship journey.

    What you will be doing:
    • Lead the development and implementation of an organisation wide inclusion and
    learner support strategy
    • Oversee wider skills support processes ensuring learner needs are accurately
identified and supported in line with funding and regulatory requirements
    • Coordinate support plans and reasonable adjustments for learners with learning
    difficulties, disabilities, or additional needs
    • Promote a culture of accessibility, inclusion, and high-quality learner support
    across the organisation
    • Act as a central point of contact for internal teams, employers, and external
agencies to ensure joined up support
    • Analyse learner support data and produce reports to support operational and
    quality improvement decisions
    • Provide guidance on inclusive approaches to Functional Skills and wider skills
    development
    • Monitor learner progression data and highlight risks, trends and additional
    support needs
    • Ensure wider skills and inclusion processes meet Department for Education and
    Ofsted requirements
    • Contribute to self-assessment reports, audits and quality improvement plans
    • Lead staff training and professional development relating to inclusive practice,
    neurodiversity and reasonable adjustments
    • Work with operational leaders to identify improvement opportunities and
    strengthen learner outcomes
    • Lead wider skills funding claims, audits and quality assurance processes to
    ensure compliance and accuracy

    What we are looking for:
    • Experience in SEND, inclusion, Functional Skills or wider skills support
    • Strong understanding of inclusive education, legislation and best practice
    • Experience within apprenticeships or vocational training environments would be
    beneficial
    • Strong communication and relationship building skills
    • Ability to influence and support teams across multiple departments
    • Excellent organisation and problem solving skills
    • Confidence to manage caseloads, make decisions and coordinate timely learner
    interventions

    Qualifications:
    • Level 3 qualification in Learning Support, Education or a related area would be
    desirable
    • Relevant industry experience supporting learners with additional needs will also
    be considered

    Salary and benefits:
    • Salary £32,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
    • Full time permanent position
    • Opportunity to lead inclusion strategy across a growing training organisation
    • Supportive and collaborative working environment

If you want to use your experience in inclusion and learner support to shape strategy, remove barriers to learning and help learners succeed across their apprenticeship journey, this role offers purpose, impact, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference
