    Principal Lecturer, Head of Counselling Psychology
    Location: Wolverhampton City Centre - Minimum of 2 days per week on Campus (face to face lectures)

    Are you ready to make a significant impact in the field of counselling psychology? We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Principal Lecturer to lead our Counselling Psychology department.

    About the Role:
    As the Principal Lecturer and Head of Counselling Psychology, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of mental health professionals. This is your opportunity to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for our growing counselling psychology programs, including doctoral, master's, and undergraduate degrees.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Lead program development and accreditation initiatives.
    Oversee high-quality education and training for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
    Engage in innovative curriculum development and scholarly activities.
    Mentor and inspire staff and students pursuing careers in counselling psychology.
    Contribute to the senior leadership of the School of Education and Psychology.What We're Looking For:

    A doctorate in counselling psychology (or related field) and HCPC registration as a counselling psychologist or clinical psychologist.
    A track record of teaching experience in higher education.
    Expertise in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
    Excellent people management skills and the ability to inspire others.Qualifications:

    First degree and a master's degree in a relevant discipline.
    Higher Education teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
    Senior Fellowship or Principal Fellowship of the HEA (or willingness to complete within an agreed timescale).Why Join Us?
