Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to join a leading MEICA contractor on a permanent basis, working across key water and wastewater projects throughout Kent and Sussex. This role is ideal for a hands-on supervisor with strong technical knowledge and a proven background in delivering electrical installations within the utilities sector.
You will oversee electrical site activities, manage site teams, and ensure all works comply with WIMES, BS 7671, client standards, and all relevant health and safety legislation. The role involves site leadership, coordination, and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise electrical installation, refurbishment, and construction activities across water and wastewater treatment sites.

Ensure full compliance with WIMES, BS 7671, client specifications, and industry regulations.
*
Coordinate daily activities with site teams, engineers, project managers, and clients.
*
Monitor progress, identify risks, and maintain high safety and quality standards.
*
Support testing, inspection, commissioning, and handover activities.
*
Maintain accurate documentation, permits, RAMS, and site reports.
*
Travel across multiple sites within Kent and Sussex, managing teams in varied environments.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience within the water industry, ideally in a supervisory or lead electrician role.

Strong understanding of electrical systems used in water and wastewater treatment environments.

Excellent awareness of health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in operational environments.

Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple work activities across sites.
*
Commitment to best practice, continuous improvement, and ongoing training.
Essential Qualifications
*
ECS / JIB Gold Card (Supervisor)
*
SSSTS certification
*
Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
*
18th Edition (BS 7671)
*
City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
*
Full UK Driving Licence
