TeacherActive are proud to be working with a SEND school in County Durham who are seeking qualified Teaching Assistants. As a qualified Teaching Assistant, you are to provide specialist support to pupils learning, behaviour and development including those with special educational needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant looking to inspire young learners. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm supporting students and teachers. Your responsibilities may include classroom preparation, pupil support, overseeing pupils with special educational needs, teacher support and classroom management. In this particular setting you will be supporting children with autism.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools / Level 2 qualifications also welcome!
Great ability to interact with pupils and keep them engaged
At least 6 months of prior experience working in schools

£90.00 - £100.00 per day
