    Job description

Teacher of PSHE - SEMH School, Enfield

A secondary school in Enfield is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of PSHE to join its team. This is a permanent position available on a full-time or part-time basis. The role is suitable for experienced teachers as well as those earlier in their careers who have a strong interest in personal development, wellbeing and supporting students with additional needs.

Salary: Outer London MPS/UPS plus SEN allowance
Start date: April 2026 (earlier start may be possible)

The successful candidate will deliver and develop a high-quality PSHE curriculum for students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role focuses on supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them develop the knowledge, confidence and life skills needed to succeed both in school and beyond.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons covering topics such as relationships and sex education, wellbeing, personal safety, citizenship and preparation for adulthood. The role also includes supporting the wider personal development curriculum and contributing to the school's inclusive and nurturing ethos.

The school provides education for students who require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health. Staff work closely together to create a supportive environment where pupils feel safe, respected and able to make progress both academically and personally.

    The successful candidate will:
    * Be a qualified teacher or have relevant experience delivering PSHE or personal development programmes
    * Have a strong commitment to supporting young people with SEMH needs
    * Be able to build positive relationships with students and staff
    * Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that support personal growth and wellbeing
    * Contribute to the wider life of the school and its pastoral support systems

    The school offers:
    * A supportive and collaborative staff team
    * Opportunities for professional development and training
    * A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people
    * Competitive salary within the Outer London pay scale plus SEN allowance

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about personal development education and committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes
