How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EYFS Practitioner
    Cheshire | Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Opportunities
    Pay: £95 – £120 per day (DOE)
    Weekly PAYE Pay – No Umbrella Companies
    About the Opportunity
    Astro Education is currently recruiting EYFS Practitioners to support nurseries and primary schools across Cheshire, including Crewe, Nantwich, Sandbach, Northwich, Winsford, Knutsford, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Alsager and Macclesfield.
    We are working closely with a number of schools and early years settings looking for enthusiastic and caring practitioners to support children in Nursery and Reception classes.
    This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development and enjoy helping young children learn, explore and grow in a safe and nurturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    *
    Supporting children within Nursery or Reception classrooms
    *
    Assisting with the delivery of EYFS learning activities
    *
    Helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment
    *
    Supporting children’s social, emotional and educational development
    *
    Encouraging creativity, independence and confidence
    *
    Working closely with teachers and other support staff
    Requirements
    *
    Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (preferred)
    *
    Experience working within an EYFS setting such as a nursery or primary school
    *
    A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
    *
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    *
    Understanding of EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
    *
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

    Eligibility to work in the UK
