How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are currently recruiting experienced MIG & FCAW Welders to join a well-established engineering company supplying fabricated components to the offshore and subsea industries, with projects delivered to major international clients across Norway and Brazil.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected fabrication facility known for its exceptional welding standards and extremely low weld failure rate. The business has built a strong reputation within the offshore sector for quality, precision, and reliability.

    The Role

    Working within a modern fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for welding structural and engineered components used within offshore and subsea applications. Work is carried out to high-quality industry standards, supporting projects destined for global energy clients.

    Duties include:

    *

    MIG and FCAW welding on heavy engineered components

    *

    Working from detailed engineering drawings and welding procedures

    *

    Fabricating and welding parts for offshore and subsea equipment

    *

    Maintaining high-quality weld standards in line with industry requirements

    *

    Working as part of a skilled fabrication team within a structured workshop environment

    Candidate Requirements

    *

    Proven experience in MIG and FCAW welding

    *

    Background working within heavy fabrication, offshore, subsea, or structural environments

    *

    Ability to read and work from technical drawings

    *

    Previous coding would be advantageous, however not essential

    Welder Testing

    For previously coded welders whose certifications may have expired, the company offers on-site weld testing, providing a great opportunity to revalidate your skills and return to coded welding work.
