As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join their team in one of its established homes to help provide exceptional care to the young person who resides in the property.

    About the Organisation

Our client delivers high‑quality therapeutic residential care for children aged 7–17 who have experienced trauma, neglect or disrupted early life experiences. Their approach is rooted in attachment‑based practice, trauma‑informed models, and therapeutic parenting techniques such as PACE and DDP. Their homes offer safety, stability and consistent support, enabling children with social, emotional and complex needs to build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.

    * Competitive salary and clear progression pathways

    * Funded Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification

    * Extensive therapeutic and in-house training

    * Access to a full Employee Assistance Programme

    * Supportive supervision and reflective practice

    * A balanced rota designed to support both consistency and staff wellbeing

    * A nurturing environment where the Deputy Manager is valued and empowered

    The Role: Deputy Manager

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the home and lead a team of Therapeutic Residential Carers.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home environment

    * Using trauma‑informed approaches to support children’s emotional and behavioural development

    * Leading shifts and guiding the staff team to maintain high standards of care

    * Supervising staff and promoting professional development

    * Overseeing placement plans, risk assessments, rotas and care documentation

    * Working collaboratively with families, schools and external professionals

The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in ensuring consistency, quality and positive outcomes for all young people in the home.

Could You Be the Deputy Manager We’re Looking For?

To be considered for the Deputy Manager position, candidates must have:

    * At least 2 years’ experience working in a residential children’s home

    * Experience as a Senior, Shift Leader or Team Leader

    * A strong understanding of trauma, attachment and therapeutic practice

    * A full UK driving licence

    * The right to work in the UK without sponsorship

You will need resilience, compassion, leadership capability and a commitment to helping children feel safe and valued.

    Additional Information

    * An enhanced DBS check and full safer recruitment vetting will be required

    * The organisation is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from all backgrounds

    * This is an in‑person residential role in Nottingham
