How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MPI are looking for a Wireperson for our client based in Milton Keynes

    Temp to Perm

    Up to £31,000 depending on skills and experience

    Overview

    Working in the Assemblies team, you will be building assemblies and panels to customer’s design and specification.

    The client is looking for someone with previous wiring experience to:

    * Complete various LV assemblies as dictated by current orders.

    * Complete various first off panel builds to customer specifications and drawings

    * Work within the times set for builds but maintain a high quality standard

    * Able to read from and work with various types of electrical / mechanical schematics drawings

    * Assist with the development of apprentices

    * Maintain job packs and other associated paperwork with Job Packs

    * Produce plotted and printed labels

    * Work with other team members of staff including other departments to streamline manufacturing process to maintain efficiency

    * Feed back to the Engineering Team during and on completion of any specific updates required for future repeat builds

    * Take on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives

    * Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures

    Requirements

    · It is important that the job holder should have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment.

    · Broad knowledge of wiring, fitting and sub-assembly best practise

    · It will be important for the job holder to methodical and precise in their approach.

    · It is important to have good working knowledge of Microsoft office systems

    · A good level of education is required, with at least GSCE’s in Maths and English (or equivalent)

    · Electrical Craft Apprenticeship will be an advantage.

    · The role holder will have the ability to provide practical solutions to engineering problems
