How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Learning Support Assistant
    Location: Northwich and Crewe
Working Pattern: Travel to 3 sites, mileage paid
Have you ever felt that your experience in supporting learners could be used to genuinely make a difference and help students achieve their full potential? This is your opportunity to do exactly that.
At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join their expanding team based in Northwich and Crewe.
This Learning Support Assistant role is home based with travel to 3 sites, offering the chance to provide personalised support to learners while creating an inclusive, positive learning environment.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with tutors and learners to provide tailored support that helps individuals access learning and achieve their goals.
    What you will be doing:
    • Work closely with tutors as a Learning Support Assistant to provide individualised support to learners, primarily on a one to one basis
    • Assist learners in accessing the curriculum, engaging in classroom activities and achieving learning goals
    • Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring educational, physical and emotional needs are met
    • Collaborate with tutors and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to develop and implement effective support strategies
    • Encourage learner independence by promoting self confidence, self regulation and responsibility for learning
    • Maintain accurate records of learner progress, engagement and any issues, reporting observations in a timely manner
    • Participate in careers events, presenting the Study Programme offer to students in schools and colleges
    • Support classroom activities, including small group or individual sessions, providing clarification and encouragement
    • Assist with preparation and organisation of learning materials and resources
    • Promote positive behaviour and create a calm, focused learning environment
    Qualifications, Experience and Skills Essential:
    • Experience working with younger age ranges in Scouts, Brownies or similar settings
    • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs
    • This Learning Support Assistant role is more focused on personality and approach rather than years of experience
Why you will love this role:
    • Salary £24,000 per annum
    • Full support and guidance from an experienced team
    • Chance to work in a flexible and positive environment
    • Training and development opportunities to grow your skills
If you are ready to use your experience to inspire and support learners, this Learning Support Assistant role offers purpose, flexibility and the chance to make a lasting impact in education
