CNC Miller – Toolroom Environment
West London
A well-established precision engineering company based in West London is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join its close-knit workshop team.
This is a permanent role within a stable, specialist engineering business producing high-quality, low to medium batch components. The company operates in a precision environment and requires a machinist who can work independently from engineering drawings through to finished component.
The Role
* Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Working with SIEMENS XYZ and PROTOTRAK XYZ controls
* Producing precision components to tight tolerances
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
* Inspecting own work using micrometers, verniers and gauges
* Working autonomously as well as part of a small team
The Ideal Candidate
* Apprentice trained
* Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship milling experience
* Strong CNC milling background (turning-only experience not suitable)
* Experience with XYZ / ProtoTRAK highly desirable
* Able to programme, set and operate independently
* Background in toolmaking or precision engineering advantageous
* Good communication skills and reliable timekeeping
* Based within commuting distance of West London
* Must have right to work in the UK
